Enviar una campaña SMS

Updated 24 Oct 2026 · 3 min read

What you'll achieve

Send an SMS to one or several lists (or a segment), with each person's name, now or at a date and time you choose, and see how many arrived.

Before you start

  • Have SMS credits (each message part uses one). Check your balance in SMS → SMS credits.
  • Your contacts must have a mobile number saved. Those who don't, or who are in SMS unsubscribes, don't receive the SMS.
  • Have at hand how people can unsubscribe (for example “reply on WhatsApp to 300 000 0000”). Write it in the SMS text.

Steps

  1. Open SMS → SMS campaigns and click New.
  2. Enter an internal name and choose the lists. If you want to narrow it down, choose a segment.
  3. Type the SMS text. To personalize, use the buttons Name, Full name o Attribute. If someone's data is missing you can leave fallback text, for example {nombre|amigo}.
  4. Look at the panel on the right: how many people will receive the SMS, how many credits it will use and how it will look with real data.
  5. Optional: enter your mobile number and click Send test to my phone (uses credits; maximum 10 tests a day).
  6. If you want to schedule it, turn on Schedule date and time and choose when.
  7. Check the box confirming that your message explains how to unsubscribe and that you'll respect unsubscribes.
  8. Click Send now o Schedule send and confirm.

Expected result

You'll see the campaign report: how many are queued, sent, delivered and failed. It updates on its own.

When someone asks to unsubscribe

Record their number in SMS → SMS unsubscribes → Add unsubscribes. From then on they won't receive any of your campaigns. You can paste several numbers at once.

Pause or cancel

In the report you can Pause (what was already queued goes out, nothing more is prepared) or Cancel (credits for messages that hadn't gone out are refunded).

Common issues

“There are no recipients”

None of the contacts has a valid mobile number or they're all in SMS unsubscribes.

“You don't have enough credits”

Top up in SMS → SMS credits. If they run out mid-send, the campaign pauses and you resume it after topping up.

“The message exceeds the maximum number of parts”

Shorten it; accents and emojis make each part allow fewer characters.

An SMS campaign allows up to 50,000 recipients; if you have more, split it with segments.

When to contact support

If a scheduled campaign doesn't go out at the set time, send the campaign name and the scheduled time.
