Conectar tu número de WhatsApp al bot

Updated 24 Oct 2026 · 2 min read

What you'll achieve

Have your bot handle the messages that come in to your WhatsApp Business number.

Before you start

  • Your company must have a WhatsApp Business account in Meta with a number registered in the WhatsApp API (our team will support you through this process).
  • You need the phone number identifier (Phone number ID) and a permanent access token for that same number. You get them in the Meta for Developers panel. Never send them by chat or email: we'll tell you a secure channel to deliver them.
  • Your API key must be administrator.
  • You must already have a flow created and published.

Steps

  1. Go into the editor and open the flow you want to use for WhatsApp.
  2. In the sidebar click Channels. Screenshot: Channels section
  3. Copy the webhook address shown at the top and give it to our team (or paste it into Meta if you manage the app). If the notice that the receiver is off appears, let us know: a service setting is missing.
  4. In Connect a channel, choose WhatsApp, type a name to recognize it, paste the number ID and the token, and click Connect channel.
  5. Click Test connection on the channel that just appeared.
  6. Send a test message from another phone to the bot's number.

Expected result

The channel appears in the list with the flow you had open and the connection test says it works. The test message gets the bot's reply.

Common issues

“Meta didn't accept that token for that ID”

The token doesn't match that number or is missing permissions. Generate a new token for the same number.

The channel shows “No token”

Connect it again with a valid token.

The bot doesn't reply

Check that the flow is published and that the channel uses that flow (button Use this flow). See also the guide “Limits and the 24-hour window”.

When to write to us

If the connection test fails with a new token, write to us with the channel name and the time of the test. Don't send us the token this way.
