What you'll achieve
Have the bot look up your products, calculate shipping with your rate and leave the order ready with Shopify's payment link.
Before you start
- Be the owner or have permission to develop apps in your Shopify.
- Create a custom app in Shopify and copy its admin access token (it starts with shpat_). Shopify shows it only once.
- Give it permission to read products and inventory, and to read and create draft orders.
- Know your internal Shopify address (it ends in .myshopify.com).
Steps
- In the editor go to AI assistant and scroll down to the section Store.
- In Platform choose Shopify.
- Type your .myshopify.com address and paste the token. Screenshot: Shopify form
- Type the shipping rate, the amount from which shipping is free (optional) and whether you offer in-store pickup.
- Click Connect and verify. The token is cleared from the screen and stored encrypted.
- Check that «Shopify: your-store.myshopify.com» appears.
Expected result
The bot searches your published products, quotes shipping with your rate and creates a draft order with Shopify's payment link. The bot never asks for card details.
Common issues
«Type the Shopify domain…»
Use the address ending in .myshopify.com, not your own domain.
Token rejected
Copy the full token again and check that the app is installed and has the permissions.
A product doesn't appear
It must be active and published on the online store sales channel. If its inventory is 0, the bot treats it as sold out.
When to contact support
If the connection fails with a correct token. Don't send us the token by chat or email.
