Set sales goals and track progress

What you'll achieve

Set a sales goal per month, pipeline and currency, and see what percentage you've won.

Before you start

Only administrators see the section Sales goals.
The goal is set per pipeline: choose the pipeline first in the view Sales.
It's compared against the value of opportunities won within that month. It doesn't represent money collected.
There's one goal for COP and another for USD. If you only sell in pesos, leave USD at 0.

Steps

In the side menu open Sales CRM and click Sales.

Find the section Sales goals.
In Month choose the month for the goal.
On the card COP type in Goal the value, with a decimal point and no thousands separators. Example: 50000000.
On the card USD type the goal in dollars, or 0 if it doesn't apply.

To track progress, look on each card at Won (the value won in the month) and Progress (the percentage against the goal).
Change the field Month to see or set goals for other months.

Expected result

Each currency shows how much you've won in the month and the progress percentage against your goal. When you reach or exceed the goal, progress shows as 100%.

Common issues

I don't see Sales goals.

Your user isn't an administrator, or no pipeline is selected yet.

The Save goals button doesn't respond.

Check that both fields have only numbers, up to 13 digits and at most two decimals, with a period and no commas.

It says “Couldn't load or save the goals.”

Check the values and try again.

Progress stays at 0%.

If the goal is 0, progress isn't calculated. There may also be no won opportunities in that month yet.

A won opportunity doesn't add up.

It counts in the month it was marked as won, and in the opportunity's currency.

When to contact support

Write to us if you saved a goal and it isn't kept, or if progress doesn't match your won opportunities. Send us: your company name, pipeline, month, goal value, the won value you expected and a screenshot.
