What you'll achieve<\/h2>\n

Set how your SMS go out, send a test and check the status of each message.<\/p>\n

Before you start<\/h2>\n

You need SMS credits and sending permission. Your SMS go out through the provider Archie contracts; you don't have to set one up. If you see the “Simulation mode” notice, SMS don't reach real phones yet.<\/p>\n

Steps<\/h2>\n

  1. Open SMS \u2192 SMS settings<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  2. Type the sender name<\/strong>\u00a0(3 to 11 letters or numbers, no accents). Some carriers ignore it; leave it empty if you're not sure. Click Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  3. In Send a test SMS<\/strong>\u00a0enter your mobile number and a short text, and click Send test<\/strong>. It costs credits like a real send; the maximum is 10 tests per day.<\/li>\n
  4. Open SMS \u2192 SMS messages<\/strong>\u00a0to see the status: Queued, Sent, Delivered or Failed. Tap a message to see the details.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Expected result<\/h2>\n

    Your test goes from “Queued” to “Sent” and then to “Delivered”.<\/p>\n

    Common issues<\/h2>\n
    \n“Failed, couldn't be sent”<\/summary>\n

    The mobile number isn't valid or the carrier rejected it. The credits are refunded.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n

    \n“Failed, the carrier couldn't deliver it”<\/summary>\n

    The phone was off or out of coverage. In this case the credits aren't refunded.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n

    \n“Your account has no SMS credits”<\/summary>\n

    When to contact support<\/h2>\n
